For anyone living in the Denver area, and likely even outside of it, you’ve probably heard the name Black Wolf Sound. He’s an immaculate soul, with a beautiful mind filled with sound, passion, and compassion. He’s without a doubt a staple in the community out here in the good ol’ Rocky Mountains and makes sure to let others know how loved they are. This talented musician is incredibly versatile as well, blending his own vocals and other instrumental abilities into his releases. He recently returned from Panama, where he brought the good vibes and Black Wolf Sound energy.
Whether he’s spreading good vibes through his sound, or through his words, Black Wolf Sound is making an impact, and he’s definitely an artist you should have on your radar. Over the last six weeks, he’s been releasing one track of his latest EP, Uproot, in order of how it’s spelled. “UrSelf” started the journey off with a funky, groovy, bass-filled party of acceptance and self-love. Reminding us to release the pressure the world, and ourselves, tend to put on one another and our own selves. Life is short and simply put, we need to live free from the chains of expectations and let the weight we carry be released into the universe.
Next up on Uproot is “Pretend,” a reflection of the healing Black Wolf Sound went through in his past in order for him to have a fulfilling and fruitful future. This is something I know we can all relate to, while the past may hurt it doesn’t have to define us, we all deserve a life that makes us feel warm like the sun. Not only is the meaning behind it incredibly touching and relatable, but the track itself is an absolute banger. It’s like finally letting go of that painful grip we have on our past and finally releasing it. Here’s what he had to say about the new EP:
These tracks are the sound of my evolution and exploration into myself. I hope that they can provide similar release and healing for you, as it did for me while I created themI feel this project is very fitting for what we are all going through lately. There is a lot of shadows being brought to the surface as we find some new paths in the scene and the world. Sometimes we need to remove ourselves and find some new soil for our roots.Vulnerability is truly the most powerful thing you can do for yourself. The best part of being vulnerable is it not only helps you but the people around you as well. I do my best to be as vulnerable as I can with my writing and production. I hope you feel it. – Black Wolf Sound
