PEEKABOO and G-REX are two of the hottest rising star production maestros in the modern dubstep world. Both acts have had monumental success over the years and have been frequent favorites of ours here at HIHF.

Enter Flowdan, the UK-based MC whose bars are plastered over tracks from Fred Again.., Zeds Dead, and Subtronics. Also enter Skrillex, the king of North American dubstep and someone we hope we don’t have to introduce you to with his substantial number of both radio-friendly pop hits and iconic festival-favorite dubstep drops.

The four artists are teaming up today for their monstrous dubstep collaboration, “Badders,” which has been teased by PEEKABOO on social media and in his live performances. This is actually the second time PEEKABOO is teaming up with Skrillex and Flowdan. He appeared on Skrillex’s Winter 2023 album, Quest For Fire, where they collabed on “Hydrate” with both Flowdan and BEAM.

“Badders” starts off with some ominous production elements before Flowdan’s vibrant lyricism begins to command the track. His unmistakable grime bars make any tune he’s on so infectious and that’s exactly what we get here on “Badders.” The beats provided on this Avengers-level team-up are absurd. Wollowing and filthy bass fill your speakers, rich with the low-end sounds that we have always loved to hear from the underground favorites G-REX and PEEKABOO.

 “G-REX, one of my best friends, was going through some personal hardships, so I invited him to Detroit. I thought we could channel that emotion into our music, and that’s when we created ‘Badders.’ Working with Flowdan was an incredible experience; he’s such a wizard at creating lyrics… The same goes for Skrillex; he genuinely cares about music.” – PEEKABOO
