For the past few months, dubstep lovers everywhere have been clinging to the edge of their seats waiting for this track’s official release. The audio clip from the popular Flipnote, YouTube, and Tik-Tok creator, Raxdflipnote first garnered massive online attention from his widely-popular videos. It didn’t take long for his trending TikTok video to catch the eye of Kompany and IVORY. Any dubstep enthusiast knows that a trending sound-byte is a deadly tool in any production master’s arsenal come festival season.
From the moment Kompany unveiled “Jackpot” during his B2B set with Dion Timmer at this year’s Bass Canyon, their collaborated creation was fated to skyrocket to the forefront of everyone’s mind. Since then, artists including Crankdat, SVDDEN DEATH, and Kayzo have been giving this piece its flowers, rinsing “Jackpot” during their sets at dozens of events this year. If there is one safe bet it’s that Kompany and IVORY’s “Jackpot” is quickly on its way to climbing up to claim the title of song of the year.

Electrifying Los Angeles producer and DJ Kyle Hagberg, better known as Kompany, has forged his foothold in the EDM scene through his heart-pounding performances and innate ability to intertwine hard-hitting production with his technical musical prowess. Since his inception into the scene in 2017, Kompany continues to illustrate that the sky’s the limit in terms of his production capabilities. This year, Kompany has treated festivals and venues across the country to hard-hitting sounds including Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, and Forbidden Kingdom to name just a few. Lost Land attendees with a sharp ear might have spotted not only “Jackpot”, but more than a few tracks from Kompany’s discography getting rinsed throughout the weekend in Legend Valley. With colossal collaborations with fellow dubstep titans DJ DIESEL, Sullivan King, Subtronics, and Wooli there’s no doubt “Jackpot” is just one of many headbanger anthems waiting in his arsenal to be unleashed.

Hailing from Paris, IVORY, aka Andy Caboche, began his musical production career in 2016 and has since brought his sharp bass music stylings across the globe inspiring fans and fellow artists alike. IVORY has proven that no genre is safe from his effervescent musical craftsmanship with a discography spanning from dubstep and riddim to DnB and house. The majority of his releases have found their rightful homes on prominent dubstep labels; iconic imprints like Never Say Die Records and Discipline Records. Last year, the US was graced with an official initiation into IVORY’s unique realm of sound during his United States debut tour. Fast forward, now, IVORY is closing out the 2024 year with the conclusion of his Steele Reign Tour, as well as his Bass Canyon debut, and his return trip to Ohio’s infamous Legends Valley for Dubstep Disneyland aka Lost Lands.

“I was at Kyle’s place for a week and we tried to start as many songs as we could so we would then pick the one standing out the most and finish it. Kyle showed me Raxdflipnote’s video on TikTok and it instantly gave us ideas for the drop which we wrapped up really fast! Kompany and I both played Bass Canyon few weeks later and Kyle played the song for the first time during his B2B with Dion Timmer, the whole crowd shouted the pre-drop vocal out loud even though we never teased the song before and I was mind blown! Shout out Raxdflipnote for joining us and letting us sample the video!” – IVORY
