Heard It Here First

Electronic composer and producer Mindex absorbs listeners into his multidimensional sound and personal journies with a thought-provoking EP, INTEGRATION. By intermingling cinematic bass and elements of classical music, this four-part sci-fi story provokes an introspective soul adventure and centers around an original character of Mindex’s, named Xyra.

Based in Austin, Texas, Mindex has sculpted sonic compositions globally and evolved his unique artistic abilities for over twenty years. This extraordinary artist encompasses a magnetic and fascinating ability to craft music that resonates with the mind, soul, and body.

His artistry can be interpreted differently by all, yet it elicits profound emotions and connects people through sound. Playing notable stages at festivals with big systems such as Sound Haven and Secret Dreams amongst visionaries including Tipper, Papadosio, Koan Sound and SpoonBill, Mindex creates incomparable experiences with his transcendental style. He also recently performed at Mission Ballroom in Denver a few weeks ago with the legend Ott and Mindex confirmed it’s his favorite city to play in.

The first track on INTEGRATION, “Hopes,” pulverizes the brain with sub-low frequencies and a trap undertone that explodes into a wormhole of experimental madness. Being the only part of the new EP fully released, Mindex introduces us to his cryptic parallel reality of sonic exploration and sci-fi lore where Xyra lives and the wonderment of his thoughts manifest into music.

Delving into uncharted territory, “The Unknown,”  lands us on a whimsical planet of deep bass and stimulating vibrations. A dreamy piano sequence starts the EP’s second tune, evoking states of tranquility and leading to mind-boggling soundscapes that fade out into the next part of this phantasmal story.

Things get a little darker and dubious in “Crow.”  Sound-bending melodies stretch listeners through time and space as bubbling drums and pulsating rhythms command part three of INTEGRATION.

This audible adventure represents Mindex’s virtuosity and his transition to new worlds. Here’s what the remarkable storyteller had to say about INTEGRATION:

INTEGRATION in full is now available on Bandcamp, but the EP will be released in singles on Spotify over the next two months. You might just have to wait to discover the end of Mindex’s mesmerizing correlation project and Xyra’s story in part four.
