Two of electronic music’s most forward-thinking producers, G Jones and Eprom, have reunited for a seismic new single, “Slamming Keys.” This track is a sonic supernova that redefines the edges of experimental bass. Released November 6, 2025, the track serves as the first glimpse into their forthcoming EP, Disk Utility, and a reminder of the duo’s unmatched ability to warp perception through pure magic sound design.

G Jones and Eprom are renowned for taking a completely different approach to bass music production. From unorthodox sampling to disjointed song structures, these artists have paved a visceral new realm of production that is inspiring the next wave of artists. Eprom has made significant successes on his own accord, while also taking part in several booming collaborations, including the Shades project with Alix Perez. In the same vein of creativity, G Jones has cultivated a fan base of sonic voyagers; a sub-group of bass fans that enjoy a darker, more left-field dissonance of sound. Both artists stand out as individually gifted creatives reshaping the trajectory of bass music entirely.

From the opening blast of distorted synths, “Slamming Keys” immediately hurls listeners into a reality-bending realm of fractured percussion, glitch-laden melodies, and deep subsonic energy. It’s a masterclass in digital chaos, controlled yet explosive, where rhythm and melody dance through multiple rounds of intense trap breakdowns. G Jones and Eprom have long been recognized as architects of the bass avant-garde, but here, their craftsmanship feels even more cinematic, transforming intricate sound architecture into emotional release.

Fans had the chance to catch a glimpse of “Slamming Keys” earlier this year during the duo’s back-to-back set at OSLO in London, where the track instantly became a highlight moment of the night. Now, the pair are bringing that energy to North America with an intimate series of 360° DJ sets, complete with surround-sound production and immersive visual installations. The tour will feature an eclectic lineup including LYNY, Nitepunk, Machinedrum, Joker, Curra, RamonPang, and Heavee, among others.

After a spectacular performance from Jones at iii Points last month, I am especially excited for the upcoming show in Tampa on December 27th. If you are in the SoFlo area, this is one night you won’t want to miss. Otherwise, make sure to catch these musical mages at your local venue when they come to town! As always, let us know your thoughts on the new G Jones and Eprom down below and on social media.
