Since announcing it in December, Dion Timmer and Excision have teased their collab EP Breaking Through at fests all around the world. Two of the four tracks were released early with “Time Stood Still” released on Wednesday and then another track yesterday titled, “Bones“. The other two songs that make up the EP are “Breaking Through” and “Proceed with Caution” featuring Croyden UK based Riddim DJ Shiverz, who also goes by ShiverzDaButcher.
My favorite cut from this EP is definitely “Time Stood Still“. The other three tracks are wildly heavy and mimic Excision’s typical style; they are totally epic and high energy, but I love “Time Stood Still” for its breakaway from the usual. It involves some chiller, poppier elements and a calmer, deeper melody.
Both Excision and Dion Timmer are slated to perform at Lost Lands Festival in September, who are we gonna see there?
