Bleep Bloop, once a DJ Shadow protege, has made a name for himself with his unique modular synthesized Space Bass sound. Since breaking out and paving a way for himself, he has gained the respect from dons and peers such as 12th Planet, DJ Craze, Boyz Noize, and G Jones. Today, he comes to us with his experimentally fresh eight-track album One Liners.

From his commentary to recurring themes in his work, Bleep Bloop is an artist who is not afraid to remind listeners that music has been and always will be political. It would make sense then that the ever time appropriate “F12”, featuring GOON DES GARCONS*, would be the leading single on One Liners. “F12” set the precedent that the rest of the project would be impactful and mold-breaking.

The album starts with the calculated Breakbeat feature “Hacker”, playing into the idea that he is hacking up sounds, often in real-time. The album also features one of Bleep Bloop’s long time collaborators as well as visual artist Gary Painting.

One Liners is proof that Bleep Bloop is never afraid to defy genres and say what needs to be said or what we’re all thinking.
