Ravachol is back! Following his neck-breaking release, “Closed Casket”, this new single shows off a softer side of his production chops. “Rainbow Tears” is an absolute bop and we were ecstatic to help Ravachol and his team premiere this monstrous new heater.

This new release shies towards the melodic riddim genre that is exploding as of late. Also coined ‘Color Bass’ by UK Dubstep phenom Chime, this is a great change of pace for Ravachol and shows his comfortability in switching lanes within the ever-changing realm that is the Dubstep world.

The San Diego based producer has been on a hot streak this year, releasing smash after smash, and “Rainbow Tears” is no exception. Employing a melodic soundscape with beautiful basslines, this is a definite add to your playlist, ‘color bass’ fan or not!

Check out what Ravachol had to say about his newest work below:

“I had this idea in my head for a while when I made it. It’s actually one of the only songs I made that completely represented what I heard in my brain. I wanted to go for something that can still be headbanged too while maintaining melodic elements to keep it stuck in people’s heads while they are not listening to it. The whole vibe with the chords was to make them sound sad, but also somewhat uplifting. Kind of a ‘things are hard now but you’re gonna make it’ vibe if that makes sense.” – RAVACHOL
