Liquid Stranger is a name you should know if you frequent our blog. He has worked with the biggest names in bass music in the past, ranging from CloZee to LSDream to Excision, and so, so many more. He is also the founder of the WAKAAN label, a home to all things weird and wonderful in bass music and an imprint we cover frequently here at HIHF.
Today, this bass music legend is taking on yet another legend, Flux Pavilion! The UK-based producer is well known for his impact on the explosion of Dubstep in the early 2010’s and released a totally different, more melodic, and pop-fuelled album earlier this year. Simply titled .wav, the full-length project from Flux showed off a softer side to his production prowess and featured huge names like What So Not and Chime along the way.
Flux is also the founder of Circus Records, where today’s remix is being released. He founded the label alongside Dubstep pioneer Doctor P and the two have delivered a slew of classic releases off the label since its conception.
Now, Liquid is bringing fans his remix of the .wav cut “I Will Stay”. The Wakaan label boss effectively turns the tune on its head, bringing the non-stop, wonky and weird vibes to the table that he is well known for. Liquid Stranger finds a way to inject any track he produces with a heavy does of left-field bass influences and we are so happy with the final result of this official remix of the Dubstep legend Flux Pavilion.
