Dubstep legends Doctor P and FuntCase have teamed up for the video game-inspired collab you didn’t know you needed. Anyone lucky enough to catch one of their b2b sets knows that these two leave it all on the floor, and it’s much the same for this incredible track. It’s equal parts heavy and nostalgic, with just the right sprinkle of dubstep magic. The two artists have been working on this one since 2010 and now it’s finally seeing the light of day.

These two have been hard at work this year, with Doctor P teaming up with AFK to release the single Destroyed on DPMO, and FuntCase clapping back with his single “Flames” with uber-talented vocalist Dia Frampton. We can only hope this trend continues with more face-melting tunes to come!

This new track, “Arcade Fire“, draws on many sounds from video games, transporting the listener into a whole new world. As expected the track also goes crazy hard, with an enormous amount of bass delivered directly to the listener’s eardrums, but in a way that you probably haven’t heard before. It has continuous energy that simulates speeding through a video game universe, only to drop down into the dirtiest of wubs. The pristine sound design allows the listener to appreciate all of the chaotic elements that come together to create a fully transportive experience. This track is sure to blow away fans as they blast off into this computer simulation world!

Here is what Funtcase had to say about the new tune, which he dubbed ‘the lost dubplate of 2010’:

“Do you EVEN understand how many years I’ve spent trying to convince to get the project file out for Arcade Fire and let us finish it?” – Funtcase
