One of our favorite sub-genres of electronic music here at Heard It Here First is the ever-expanding experimental bass music sub-genre. Longtime friends Eric Ray and Andrew Principe, AKA EAZYBAKED, have made a home for themselves deep in the scene with releases on wildly successful labels such as Wakaan and Cyclops Records. These two up-and-comers are known for their insane composition of otherwordly sounds and some of the deepest heart-thumping bass in the industry. Today, EAZYBAKED released “Letting Go”, the first single of their 2022 debut LP.
Hailing from the sunny skies of Orlando, Florida, the EAZYBAKED boys have been busting out beats long before joining forces. Before discovering themselves as the duo we all know and love, they played together as ‘EAZY’ and ‘Mr. Baked’. Since the conception of the EAZYBAKED project, they have gained massive popularity with tons of self-released singles and performances at festivals like Wakaan Festival, EDC Orlando, and Okeechobee Music Festival. On top of that, they have been supporting acts for multiple big-name performers, including GRiZ, Jantsen, Subtronics, and Eprom.
Today, EAZYBAKED unleashed their fresh new single “Letting Go”. Their first release of 2021 and the first single off their upcoming debut LP, this is a highly anticipated track for the two and their quickly growing fanbase.
The melodic four-minute single is peaceful with an upbeat tempo. Uplifting and unique, it boasts a wide range of characteristics and hidden notes tastefully layered over a bass-filled soundscape. Each second takes you on a musical journey as you sway to the music and end in full-blown dance grooves. It’s fun and adventurous and well worth the wait for new music from the duo. As the first single, it is safe to assume their debut LP will be a beautiful masterpiece worthy of both a night in relaxing or burning up the dance floor out and about. Here’s what they had to say about the new track:
“The song means exactly as it reads. Letting Go gives space to let the new in” – EAZYBAKED
The artwork is designed by none other than Renee King AKA Rukucustoms. Both the artwork and track evoke a sense of reflection and peace beautifully paired with one another.
We couldn’t be happier for Eric and Andrew as they prepare to drop their upcoming LP. Their talents know no bounds and their new single clearly exemplifies that. Lose yourself in the moment and let go of your everyday stresses with “Letting Go.”
