Washington D.C.-based Eyezic has quickly risen through the ranks after an incredible 2021. The talented melodic trap and future bass producer has landed placements on popular labels such as Excision‘s Subsidia Records, San Holo‘s bitbird, Jadu Dala, Quality Goods Records, and countless others over the last year alone. Named after his late grandfather “Isaac”, who played the violin when he was growing up, Eyezic’s captivating vibes have sent him to play in Chicago, Austin, L.A., NYC, as well as D.C. and Baltimore. He’ll be making his return to L.A. later this Spring as part of UZ‘s tour. Make no mistake about it, Eyezic is a name to pay attention to moving forward.
L.A.-based duo We Rose has been gaining traction in the scene over the last couple of years. Having released collabs with Rossy, yojas., and Blurred VZN in 2021, We Rose is looking to build on this momentum and make a big splash in 2022. With recent support coming from the likes of Alison Wonderland, Madeon and Kaivon, it’s clear that these two are well on their way to playing more shows and festivals very soon. Keep an eye out for this talented duo this year.
“Be By You” blends the beautiful, yet hard-hitting styles of both Eyezic and We Rose. This is the second time they’ve linked up for a song, the first being a remix of “Power Trip” by Shizz Lo, courtesy of Boogie T‘s Drama Club Recordings. Oddly enough, this song originally started as a house track, and over a year later the final product is a blissful, yet powerful future bass/melodic trap anthem.
The angelic intro brings listeners in with the soft vocals stating “Tell me what you wanna do…cause I just want to be by you”. This leads to a fun, signature drop highlighted by the melodic wobble lead and complimenting sub underneath. The second drop switches things up a bit with beautiful, layered saw chords that will keep crowds swaying back and forth. With Spring right around the corner, “Be By You” is a staple for your next outdoor gathering.
