Washington D.C. based Christian Rodriguez, better known to the EDM world as Eyezic, returns to HIHF with the premiere of a dreamy, new single. Today, we are pleased to present “Wanted” off his forthcoming Letters to Myself EP, dropping on Quality Goods Records today.

Eyezic has continued his impressive run this year, which started back in 2021. This past spring was especially exciting for the talented future bass and melodic trap producer. Towards the end of March, he won Insomniac’s Discovery Project for Beyond Wonderland in California, a major W and turning point for up-and-coming artists. He also played Moon Walk Festival in NY, made his Space Yacht debut in LA while supporting UZ on tour, and also played direct support for Hekler in DC.

“Wanted” is the futuristic love song we all crave during the summertime. A powerful, atmospheric intro that includes Eyezic’s signature reese bass sound and beautifully-processed vocals sets us up for a blissful rollercoaster ride of a drop. Eyezic’s layering continues to blow me away. Every sound chosen for the drop is strategically placed and spaced out perfectly. The underwater-sounding plucks with hard-hitting sub-bass and kicks create a romantic scene in the minds of the listener.

The Letters to Myself EP is Eyezic’s most comprehensive project to date. The five-track EP is set to drop later today on Quality Goods Records, a label that has shown a lot of love to the rising star over the last couple of years. The EP came to life as a result of a letter that Eyezic received from his roommate Kelly during one of the lowest points of his life. The letter gave him a new perspective and energy, allowing him to take his musical talents to the next level.

Here’s what Eyezic had to say:

“‘Wanted’ was written in a place of loneliness. Sometimes feeling lost or just not knowing what the next move was. I had always sought after friendships with people that were never good for me, or trying to be something that I wasn’t. I never realized who my true friends were until one day I had to take a step back and realize that I’ve always had such an amazing group of people beside me. No matter what dark days I was having, I had found a sense of belonging, and honestly all of that was through music. The people in my corner, the friends I’ve made along this journey have brought me to where I am today and have never felt more wanted.
This can be portrayed in anyone’s situation. Stop trying to fit into the ‘popular crowd’ or if you feel out of place, then they aren’t the right ones for you. The best people will flock to you and you’ll feel the love.
