Sound design wizard AHEE impresses listeners everywhere once again, this time linking with up-and-coming trap prodigy SØMETHING for “The Action” , out now on Jadu Dala. 

AHEE’s diverse release catalog continues to thrill, landing placements on some of the biggest labels in bass music such as Subsidia Records, Circus Records, Cyclops Recordings, SubCarbon Records, and Bassrush. We hosted him as a headliner of our inaugural Cabin Fever Fest in 2020, which benefitted the Innocence Project. Expect to see AHEE’s name added to more and more lineups this year as festivals begin announcing their rosters for Summer 2022. Notably, he’ll be performing at Texas’ Ubbi Dubbi Festival this April and the inaugural Sol Fest in Florida in May.

SØMETHING is a Portland, Oregon-based producer that we need to get the word out about. If you scroll through SØMETHING’s SoundCloud, you will discover an arsenal of festival-ready, trap bangers that are sure to get any party started. Fans of Kumarion may recall that SØMETHING released an incredible remix of the hit single “Want It” , which landed on the official remix pack. “The Action” is a brilliant combination of gritty sound design and upbeat rhythms, certain to get any listener instantly moving. It starts out with a very dark, sinister feeling as if you are trapped inside a suspenseful, jump-scare horror film. The closed-door slam combined with a clock ticking that pans from left to right build that atmosphere,. Listeners are then introduced to a deep bassline that builds again right into the “Now we’re getting some action” pre-drop vocal.

What comes next is an unexpected, yet dazzling display of energy in the form of crunchy bass to keep you engaged and moving. It is astonishing how many sounds both of these producers showcase throughout this release. The catchy vocals give the track that extra punch on top of what is already a thumping tune. Expect to hear “The Action” rinsed out by some big names in bass music in 2022.
