potions is one of the hottest names in bass music. He’s gained notoriety for his solo production prowess and the success of the supergroup Lab Group. After two incredible performances at Electric Forest, potions is unleashing a massive new single, “New Aura,” ahead of his upcoming album. Featuring dreamy vocal chops and a stabbing bassline, “New Aura” is an essential addition to potions’ discography and has fans clamoring for more.

“New Aura” is the second single from potions’ forthcoming LP. Its lead single, “Innocence,” was potions’ first release of 2022. These two singles have only built more anticipation for the rest of the LP. “New Aura” stands out as one of the more dynamic and festival-ready tracks in his arsenal. The track’s intro effortlessly blends melodic vocals and a tease of the incoming bassline. The bassline quickly becomes the dominant melody, as potions proves once again he is a premier sound design wizard in this quickly moving world of bass music.

potions and longtime friend and collaborator Supertask have been busy touring Lab Group in 2022, following the passing of Lab Group founding member Charlesthefirst. The group’s set at the magical Electric Forest festival this past weekend comprised of many of the tracks from the group’s debut LP, numerous Charlesthefirst tracks, and new beats from the highly-anticipated second Lab Group LP. The set was a perfect tribute to Charles and showcased what’s next for Lab Group. Potions’ solo set from earlier in the weekend was also just as divine. He gifted the crowd an extensive preview of his album paired alongside some beautiful new visuals.
