Las Vegas-based HEXED loads up a hefty bass stomper EP “Paradox” featuring three boundary-pushing tracks. He seamlessly fuses thick dubstep sounds with Hip-Hop vocals that will have fans head-nodding and in full bass face mode.
HEXED has already been busy this year with several releases, the most recent being “187” with Z-Dougie, part of the Reverberate compilation off Mersiv‘s MorFlo Records. The experimental sound designer has been turning heads in the underground scene while also gaining support from huge bass names Zeds Dead, TVBOO, and Smoakland just to name a few.
The new EP takes off with the title track, “Paradox,” beginning with hype rap vocals courtesy of MagMag before building up into gruesome bass lines under a trap-style drum and kick beat.
Next up, HEXED steps on the gas with “Lightspeed,” a collaboration effort with Spicy Bois artist ION. Another example of how catchy vocals mixed with swampy bass generates a mold-breaking production, this time with bars coming from Lil Traffic.
On the final track, HEXED delivers another massive anthem titled “Triggered,” leaving listeners stirred up and tossed around from the flavorful noises that envelop your headphones and speakers, tapping Nat James for the boisterous track.
Here’s what HEXED had to say about the new work:
“Paradox” is a body of work I put together that gives listeners a taste of what my project is all about. On this EP, I put forth my best production and worked with the most talented vocalists I could find to accomplish my vision of merging Hip-Hop with Dubstep for a unique sound.” – HEXED
