GRiZ has become a staple of not only the dubstep world but the overall EDM and festival scene as a whole. The Detroit, fun-loving saxman has stolen both our hearts and our ears with his complex blend of funky, sax-fuelled soundscapes and filthy dubstep stylings.
Today, GRiZ returns to his constantly-growing fanbase with the fourth edition of his chilled out mixtape series, Chasing The Golden Hour. In the past, these tapes have provided listeners some of GRiZ’s fan-favorite deep cuts from the Mad Liberator himself, including but certainly not limited to “Smoke That,” “Won’t Be Gone Long,” and “Summer ’97”.
After the release of the first two singles “On A High” and “Your Light,” CTGH4 is finally here! Featuring seven groovy new tracks from the sax-master himself, the fourth edition of the sunset-themed mixtape series is perfect for closing out the Summertime and the soothing, chill atmosphere that comes with Fall.
Tracks like “Mystik Dub” and “Keep Bouncin’” are still very much upbeat ‘bangers’, but still shy on this softer side of GRiZ’s production style. “Carry On,””Gooey” and “Airplane Mode” featuring Chrishira and ProbCause are vibrant and tranquilizing, perfect for the last poolside days you can fit in to 2022.
For GRiZ, this follows collaborations with LSDream and TVBOO. We have gotten an onslaught of new GRiZ tunes recently, let’s all hope it doesn’t stop anytime soon.
