Heard It Here First

Wordsmith and beat connoisseur, Khiva, is an absolute powerhouse with everything she does. Over the last couple of years, she’s taken the scene by storm full throttle. From her deeply, bass-driven tracks to the defined, polished vocals she lays over them, Khiva is a force to be reckoned with.

This year has been a huge success for the tastemaker, gracing stages with her sound at festivals like Electric Forest, Okeechobee, and Outlook, and so much more. Her upcoming EP is slowly approaching, and today, we’re blessed with the first track “Misplaced Apathy.”

She’s got spunk and immeasurable talent (and she’s one of my personal favorite artists). Every release shows a new side to her, and even more of her personality and creativity shine through. “Misplaced Apathy” infuses those signatures, low-end frequencies mixed with the dark and brooding melodies she conjures up in the studio. Something about her music makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, as you travel through the expansive atmospheres that make up a Khiva tune.

A storyteller of sound, each release from this queen consistently provokes different emotions and paints wildly vivid images in one’s mind. “Misplaced Apathy” will have you checking over your shoulder as you wander through the puzzle of spine-tingling beats and a hypnotic flow that pulls you in deeper and deeper.

Khiva continues to blaze a trail for herself, pushing herself to new heights and creating sounds that are uniquely hers.
