Project Glow is going into its second year as a festival. The D.C. edition of Insomniac’s premiere electronic festivals, Project Glow 2022 hosted names like GRiZ, Above & Beyond, Martin Garrix, John Summit, and Seven Lions. The inaugural festival was a hit with DMV ravers and we are ecstatic for year two of Project Glow!
This year, they are hosting Tiesto,Kygo,Benny Benassi, Zeds Dead, and Dom Dolla b2b Green Velvet, alongside tons of other heavy hitters. One thing that truly got us excited about the 2023 lineup was that there are more dubstep acts on the lineup, you really love to see it!
Here are our top must-see dubstep and bass acts that we are looking forward to catching at Project Glow 2023:
Peekaboo
Peekaboo is next up. It’s just factual at this point. He’s collabed with the biggest names in dubstep, like Skrillex,Marshmello,Zeds Dead,Ganja White Night, and Caspa, and played some of the sickest festivals, including Lost Lands and EDC Vegas, just to name a few. He just hosted a 360 set in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium with the sickest support roster, playing alongside EPROM, CHEE, Eazybaked and Slang Dogs, which they absolutely rocked. He also performed last Thursday night at Okeechobee Music Festival, where we caught his jaw-dropping set. We are telling you, do NOT miss this one.

LSDream
LSDream is spreading his psychedelic, mind-altering beats like wildfire across the EDM world. The Wakaan label favorite is on a straight course to dubstep superstardom and for very good reason. Collabs with GRiZ, Liquid Stranger, and Ganja White Night span his discography, with multiple gorgeously composed albums under his belt as well as an upcoming full-length project in collaboration with CloZee. After watching this man absolutely shut down the Here tent at Okeechobee last weekend, this is another absolutely cannot miss show for us here at HIHF.

NotLö
Well-known for her deep dubstep production prowess and her range as an artist, NotLö is an artist who is being added to festival lineups left and right. We are absolutely not missing her Project Glow debut when she hits D.C. in late April. If you are a fan of Khiva, TRUTH, or anyone on their Deep, Dark, and Dangerous label, we insist you shouldn’t miss it either.

Crankdat
Crankdat is one of the remix kings of the EDM world. His early 2010s Soundcloud re-cranks had the scene in a chokehold and he has been producing filthy hybrid trap and dubstep masterpieces ever since. Recently, he has been doing a hilarious and super impressive production TikToks where he takes on Top 40, Hip-Hop, and EDM bangers from over the years and turns them into festival-ready weapons.

Zeds Dead
One of the dominant forces in the dubstep world for over a decade, the Toronto-based duo Zeds Dead has championed the next generation of bass music superstars, hosting releases from names like Smoakland,Imanu, Effin, MYTHM, Tape B, and tons of other HIHF favorites. You can expet to hear tons of those rising stars’ tunes in the Zeds Dead duo’s sets. Their live shows have been A1 since the day one and you won’t want to miss the non-stop vibes their performance will bring at Project Glow!
