Alien bass pioneer, Shlump makes his HypnoVizion debut with a dazzling original “Drum Beats Go Like.” The newest addition to Shlump’s psychedelic catalog is an adventure of extraterrestrial soundscapes. “Drum Beats Go Like” lands on Rezz‘s HypnoVizion label, which is making waves with cosmic bass enthusiasts having already built an arsenal of bangers from artists like sfam, Mythm, Digital Ethos, and others.

The Bay Area local is certainly not a new name in the game. He has developed his own unique style of bass music, bringing together classic dubstep and powerful otherworldly elements that’s made him one of the most synonymous with ‘space bass.’ With fan-favorite releases on labels like Deep Dark & Dangerous, Wakaan, Circus Records, and Deadbeats, Shlump’s HypnoVizion debut is yet another experimental scorcher added to his bag.

Here’s what Shlump had to say about his new banger “Drum Beats Go Like:”

“I was listening to a bunch of Aphex Twin and Squarepusher, and got inspired to try something different. I thought it would be cool to do a track that took inspiration from that style of drum work. When I listen to old IDM one of the things that stands out to me is it’s unpredictable and exciting because the track goes places you never imagined. I wanted to make something that had this type of effect fused with some heavy bass. This is the basic thought process and intention I had when making ‘Drum Beats Go Like’.” – Shlump

2024 has already been a massive year for the alien bass legend. Shlump kicked off his year with an epic sold-out show at Cervantes in Denver and provided support for stops on Liquid Stranger‘s recent Expansion Tour. Earlier this year he treated fans with a remix pack through his SoundCloud and a guest mix for HypnoVizion. Next up, Shlump will hit the stage for festival sets at Infrasound and Big Dub Festival.
