One of the bigger success stories to come out of the bass scene in the past year is A Hundred Drums. The Denver-based talent cranked out multiple incredible releases in 2020, including a self-titled album with Gravitas Music and her lo-fi journey of an EP “Sonder”She has pushed many boundaries in the bass scene, allowing her career to blossom. The emotional pull within her music has attracted thousands of fans in a short time span.

Last month, the compelling producer released a monster tune titled “Stark”. The track was filled to the core with dark breaks, basslines, and low-end synths that draw you into a journey. “Stark” was well-received by the bass scene, being an immediate addition to multiple fans’ and label’s playlists.

Today, A Hundred Drums follows up with another monster tune. “Estuary” picks up right where she left off.  What stands out is how she blends a theme of the ocean, interwoven into the track. Throughout the tune, you can hear whales singing under the water to blend naturally within. This captured us in a stance that just left us speechless.

The eerie and dark lo-fi beat that you’ve been craving for is not only present but mastered perfectly by AHD. The journey that she takes you on is a roller coaster in itself, one that feels like there’s no end. On top of the grimy basslines and synths, Estuary mixes downtempo elements to provide an ethereal tone. It proves that AHD is here to stay, and is so close to rising to the top.

After crushing these past two tracks, we know that the upcoming EP is gonna be one for the books!

Like a lot of her tunes, “Estuary” was released on Bandcamp. We highly recommend giving the track a purchase and supporting A Hundred Drums directly.
