Chris Sullivant aka Sully has been ascending in the bass community since he emerged on the scene a few years back. Since his debut single “Frequency Shift” in 2019, Sully has released numerous projects with support under Liquid Stranger‘s Wakaan label, including his “Break The Floor” EP, “Malfunction” EP, single “Right About Now,” and collaborations with G-REX “Clique”, “Back It Up” and “How Much Further.”
By blending giddy 90’s hip-hop with futuristic heavy sound design, anonymous producer SuperAve. has rapidly assembled a uniquely distinctive sound leading him to rise in the bass music scene VERY quickly. In 2020, he released his debuted singles “2047” and “Baadmaan.” This year, SuperAve. has released collaborations with CHOMPPA “Portal” on Deadbeats records and Jantsen “GTID” on Subsidia records, two of our favorite releases of the year. Just three months ago, in September, SuperAve. released “The Streets Hear Everything” EP featuring five songs including collaborations with jELACEE and fowL off Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats imprint.
Today, Sully and SuperAve. come together for the release of their collaborative “Interflow” EP through Wakaan, featuring two monstrous tracks; “Slip Up” and “Mug”.
“Slip Up” blends both of their extraordinary sounds with a continuous shift of auditory landscape , fresh basslines, and high-octane bass. “Mug” starts off hot, leading up to an epic rise with vocals chanting “Pump up the bass” laced with hard-hitting drops throughout.
Check out what Sully had to say about this new collaboration EP:
“Superave. and I first got in touch over social media about 2 years ago now after a friend of mine showed me his music. We became friends instantaneously and our running joke after working together so many times is that we share the same brain when writing music. Both tracks display the blend of our sonic pallets so well and that’s generated from the chemistry we have when writing together. COUNTLESS hours went into this EP to make sure it was just right and we’re so proud of how both tracks turned out.” – Sully
