Whichever way you turn these days, there always seems to be talk about the rise of drum n’ bass here in the United States. And for good reason, too. Kumarion stands out as one of the leaders of this American DnB movement, introducing thousands of fans here in the States to a sound and style that has captured the hearts of music fans all over the world for decades. Having started a recent tour with fellow American DnB rockstar, Reaper, fans all over the country will now be able to get a taste of this beautiful sub-genre of dance music with that North American tour.
Kumarion’s rise over the last two years has been seriously impressive. After his hit single,“Want It,” went viral courtesy of the underground label Jadu Dala, the Seattle-based producer kept his foot on the gas with incredible releases on Monstercat, Deadbeats, and even UKF. An official 2022 Billboard Artist to Watch, Kumarion has already played some of the hottest festivals in the country this year, including Okeechobee, Buku, and ILLfest, while also supporting multiple touring artists such as Zeds Dead and Dirt Monkey. “Back Talk” is the latest in his arsenal of heaters that is sure to get any party started. Wasting no time at all, Kumarion jumps right in after a quick intro with deep, out-of-this-world growls and breakdowns that set the stage for an action-packed journey. Right after we hear the “Let me tell you something” pre-drop vocal, we are launched into an energy-filled chamber, equipped with a powerful foghorn lead that’s complemented by aggressive growls, generating a unique call and response. This hard-hitting heater will surely burn up dance floors all across the country this Spring and Summer as Kumarion continues to crush his performances, whether on tour or at massive festival appearances.
