The annual Suwannee Hulaween music festival returns for its ninth year on Halloween weekend at the magical Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida with four days of immersive performances. With a diverse lineup full of dubstep, house, experimental bass, funk, jam, and alternative rock, Hulaween 2022 offers an array of must-see acts that everyone can get down to. This magical festival is home to many and is definitely a bucket-list experience for all!
Some of the names from the list of headliners include String Cheese Incident, Louis The Child, Portugal The Man, J.I.D., Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Gigantic NGHTMRE, Fisher, CloZee, and STS9!
The music, arts, and camping festival in Florida’s enchanting forest offers five unique stages across their expansive music park, including two Spirit Lake stages, a hammock-friendly amphitheater, and a widespread main stage dubbed “The Meadow”. Interactive art installments, flow artists, fire dancers, painters, hypnotic laser shows, and even 3D projection mapping over Spirit Lake await festival goers nationwide.
Attendees can expect three nights of sets from the festival’s founders, The String Cheese Incident, as well as several curated festival takeovers from bass legend Liquid Stranger’s Wakaan, underground techno collective Desert Hearts, and house artist LP Giobbi’s Femme House.

A Hundred Drums, or Gabrielle Watson, has been a dominant force on the forefront of electronic festival lineups, providing the scene with a versatile mix of dubstep, psytrance, and downtempo. Her drum-based melodies have enchanted fans across the country, as she innovatively weaves deep bass with natural soundscapes. After touring with Rezz and sharing the stage with Zeds Dead earlier this year, A Hundred Drums will join Mersiv, Opiuo, and Wreckno on the road this fall. The spiritual, tribalistic sounds of A Hundred Drums will certainly captivate fans as they experience this one-of-a-kind set in the enchanting Spirit of Suwannee Music Park.
Be prepared to groove with Australian funk bass sensation, Opiuo, as he spins his electrifying new album, A Shape Of Sound, for the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park. If you have not yet experienced the vibrations of Opiuo’s immersive sets, this is surely one not to miss. The French producer has garnered a massive following within the electronic music scene over the years, now coordinating her own three-day curated event at The Caverns in Tennessee with fan favorites like EAZYBAKED, Khiva, and Super Future. Jantsen is one of the heaviest hitters in the dubstep world. He’s been tearing up the scene for over a decade and is finally getting the recognition he deserves, landing opening slots for the likes of GRiZ and Ganja White Night, and crushing his own Gutter Till I Die 2022 tour, where he led a pack of rising star producers like Smoakland, Space Wizard, Jon Casey and more. His burley and crisp dubstep sounds are some of the most fun to get down to at a festival, so do not miss his Hulaween performance!
One of our favorite artists at HIHF, Tyler Coombs AKA Of The Trees, is a true gem in this always-changing experimental bass music scene. His production and sound design are unlike anything you’ve ever heard, creating lustrous soundscapes with his organic style. An Of The Trees set is more than a show; it’s a total mind and body experience. His Memory Palace Records label was just launched and he’s also about to embark on his nationwide Codex Natura tour featuring tons of bass music powerhouses like The Widdler, Jon Casey, and Potions.
Tripp St exploded over the 2020-2021 quarantine. While live shows and festivals were held back because of COVID, tons of collectives took to Twitch for virtual festivals. Tripp St’s mixes and live stream appearances were some of the highlights of that time for many, and word quickly spread about his crunchy, unique stylings.
Even though he had no official releases, across his four uploaded mixes he had 120 IDs under his belt, many of which were getting support from the top names in the industry. He followed that with two breathtaking albums, in Welcome to Tripp St and Different Worlds. This enigmatic sonic innovator has huge things on the horizon, so don’t miss his Suwannee Hulaween 2022 show!
Florida’s own Tape B is definitely a name you need to keep an eye on. His shows are a guaranteed high-energy dance party as he destroys the decks blending new and old-school dubstep. He recently caught the attention of the legends Zeds Dead with his remix of their track “Collapse,” which the duo has been rinsing at performances on their Deadbeats Tour. If you didn’t have the chance to catch him at Imagine Music Festival or Wakaan Music Festival, we highly recommend you take this opportunity to dance your pants off. This rising up-and-comer throws down some straight filth.
This talented producer has been taking the EDM and jam band industry by storm with her unique style of bass meets jamtronica. Maddy O’Neal is about to release her ten-track “Ricochet” LP next week, featuring collabs with MOONZz, Balkan Bump, and a massive instrumental track with Ryan Jalbert, Alana Rocklin, Benny Bloom, and WhyAwake! With performances at some of the most iconic festivals, including Summer Camp, Lollapalooza, Freaky Deaky, and Lost Lands, this is one set you CAN NOT afford to miss.
Canabliss’ sound is a whole vibe with her expertly-crafted dirty bass music. With a recent EP release on Wakaan, as well as upcoming performances at Wakaan Music Festival and as support at Rezz’s Rezz Rocks, she is prepared to take you on a psychedelic journey with her mind-melting sound.
