This time last year, Notixx released his first full-length album via Ganja White Night‘s Subcarbon Records. Today, he returns to their label for a third time, giving fans a new six-track EP titled “Satellite.”

It is obvious that the Buffalo-based producer has been putting in work in the studio. Notixx sends this “satellite” on an orbit in several different directions with diverse sounds including halftime, dubstep, and wave. 2022 has been an explosive year for the Subcarbon veteran. He began the year cruising across the states on his first headline tour, a huge banner on the rising artist’s timeline. This past summer he threw down sets at Ganja And Buds Denver supporting Ganja White Night, as well as at Sound Haven in July. Most recently, he appeared at Wakaan Festival, bringing the heat to the festival’s pre-party Wednesday night alongside fellow rising stars Ravenscoon and Tape B.

“Satellite” includes wavy stompers, intoxicating anthems, and ethereal bass blasters. The EP is an out-of-this-world arrangement sending listeners beyond the stars. Notixx truly has his own production swagger, seamlessly fusing different styles together in his newest work.

Here’s what Notixx had to say about the release:

It’s been a year since I put out my first album. After releasing that album, I did my first headline tour and that meant a lot to me. I wanted the next collection of music I put out to really showcase the unique styles I’ve been feeling since then. Two of the songs on the new EP are 130bpm, which is a tempo I’ve only explored when working with bass house and breakbeat. These tracks are 130bpm wave trap, but I still feel like they embody the sound of my project. There are a couple halftime 170bpm tracks and also a couple dubstep tracks on the EP, but they aren’t what you’d expect. I really just want to show people what “my sound” is and I feel like this EP really captures that.” – Notixx

With a massive year already in the books for Notixx, it does not stop there. Up next, he will be hitting the stage at Wobbleween, a Ganja White Night curated event, and at Subtronics’ curated Cyclops Cove 2 in December.
