It’s hard to find the words to describe the energy at a Define Everything Future (DEF) Global event. This female-owned collective has been actively curating stellar shows in the Atlanta area and just last month hosted the most laudable event of its existence, THE ØFFLINE PROJECT. Two days of some of the top acts in the electronic world spanning multiple genres accompanied by immersive art installations.

There isn’t anything quite like the pure joy of attending one of DEF’s legendary events as you find yourself immersed in the crowd of a 360 show in one of its unique locations. THE ØFFLINE PROJECT brought together an A-list of artists from A-TrakChris LorenzoTruthWuki, J. Worra, UNiiQU3, and several other talented producers.

The legendary Boys Noize closed out night one after Truth threw down a disgustingly filthy set packed with an arsenal of bass-heavy bangers. TroyBoi closed out night two with a high-energy performance after Chris Lorenzo gave fans a high dose of melty house goodness. Some of my favorite sets of the weekend had to be Chase and Status’ diabolical DnB set and my first, and certainly not my last, It Hz set. As a massive fan of CHEE and Jon Casey, It Hz was an entire hour of having my face melted, and my brains turned to mush by the bonkers amount of bass the sound rigs put out.

The vibes and energy in that warehouse were immaculate all weekend. DEF Global knows how to perfectly organize an intimate environment where artists and fans can mingle and experience everything this fantastic collective has to offer. Don’t be surprised to see some artists in the crowd, either! You can often find them wandering around kicking it with fans and getting down to all the phenomenal performances. I also had the pleasure of running into HIHF favorites Ravenscoon and Toadface in the crowd experiencing the magic of a DEF event.

Many of their events in the past have been recorded and uploaded online to Youtube, but based on this event’s name, it’s safe to say none of these will be. So, I guess you just had to be there! Check out some of the epic photos DEF’s media team captured throughout the weekend.

If you haven’t attended a DEF Global event, all I can tell you is it is life-changing! The way everything comes together, from the people curating the shows, to the sound and lighting engineers, to the security, and the staff, it’s an exceptional experience. I, for one, can’t wait to see what they have in store in the future! We hope to see you at the next one.
