Heard It Here First

One of 2022’s breakout stars is back with some high-energy music to get your new year started the right way. Hamdi has released two tracks today that really showcase the talented producer’s wide range of sounds and styles – “Okay / Yum” is out now via NOISIA’s label, VISION Recordings.

In a year that was dominated by the hit single “Skanka”, Hamdi continued to show why he is one of the more diverse producers we have today with several releases that showcased not only his dubstep heaters, but also breaks, UKG, grime, house and more. There are truly no limits to this creative mind’s potential. He released “Discovery”, another dubstep banger via Jadu Dala, as well as his two-track Creepy Crawlies UKG EP, his three-track Three Lanes EP that showcased three different styles, as well as several vibey singles, like “Homesick”, for example.

“Okay / Yum” features two tracks that give you the feeling that you’re at a true rave in a warehouse. The energy in both seem to transport us back to the ’90s dance music scene when DJs would play these oftentimes illegal shows, dominated by sub-genres like techno, hardcore and house. The fast tempo in both tracks will certainly keep fans moving and grooving on the dance floor. In addition to these two tracks, Hamdi also recruited Jon Casey to provide a trappy, head-nodding edit of “Yum”. This is a nice take on the 160 bpm techno track that will allow you to bounce around in the club.

We can’t wait to see what’s next from Hamdi, and hopefully, that includes some live performances here in the States at some point.
