Everything the effervescent Wenzday touches turns into gold. Starting with being a classically trained vocalist and graduating from ICON Collective to co-creating 40oz Cult and making a home for herself with a weekly show on Dash Radio, her brilliance oozes from everything she sets her heart after.

Not only has she graced the Playboy Mansion with her talent, but she has also released fire on House Call Records, Pinnacle Collective, Confession, Kannibalen, 40oz Cult, noir sur blanc records, Do Not Duplicate Recordings, Gold Digger Records, IN/ROTATION, and Play Me Records.

Today she makes the Wenzday debut on mau5trap to deliver a heartbreak poem turned heater, “The One.” From her own words to her vocals on the track, the tune is authentic down to its core. Weaving a jaunty groove with melancholy synths, she perfectly expresses the highs and lows of heartbreak in one fell swoop. Wenzday shares,

“I wrote ‘The One’ originally as a poem after my breakup earlier this year. I never intended it to be a song or even be heard by anyone for that matter. I just needed to get how I was feeling on paper-the anger, the sadness, the confusion of how you can go one day being with a person you care about to all alone the next. One day I was in the studio and I wrote the musical part of the song as you hear it now and after trying for hours to make a sample or a top line work so I decided to sing my own words. This is the first time I have sung on my own track and the process was extremely cathartic. I am so excited for everyone to hear my own words in my own voice.”
