Shanghai Doom have been making their mark on the experimental bass music scene. The Jersey-based duo has crafted their distinct sound in an ever-growing genre and has consistently delivered dark bass-fueled masterpieces.
With releases sprinkled across Cyclops Recordings, Subsidia, Bassrush Records, Underdog Records, and WAKAAN to include collaborations with bass wizards such as Tsimba, Protohype, Toadface, XTALS, Smoakland, and more it’s easy to see we simply cannot get enough from Shanghai Doom.
After releasing the collaborative Soul Stone EP with Esseks last year on WAKAAN, Shanghai Doom makes their return to the imprint for an escapade off the deep end with Dark Waters. Painting a seascape full of blistering bass and buoyant bubbles, the power-duo implores you to take a plunge into the darkness. The album is packed with eight menacing tracks and a collaboration with leet that will descend you into a bass-heavy abyss.
