Flumeis back and he is saying everything with his newest single, “Say Nothing”, featuring MAY-A! Alongside this song, he also announced his third upcoming album titled Palaces, out on May 20th.
We have all been patiently waiting on Flume’s return, especially after he released his remix of “On A Mountain” last year in late August. Prior to that, the Grammy-winning producer has remixed iconic songs such as Eiffel 65’s“Blue” and even released a drum and bass single, “The Difference” , showing how truly unstoppable he is. Flume is a musical genius and if you haven’t seen him live yet, catch him at Coachella this April and at The Governors Ball festival this June!
“Say Nothing” starts with powerful vocals and mesmerizing beats that transition to an upbeat yet sad tone. It’s like entering a new eerie world filled with mysteries in each and every corner as we enter the mind of this future bass pioneer. At certain moments, the vocals are the main focus, but once the chorus starts, the beats start back up again and take the spotlight.
In spite of its title, this beautiful track says everything with all the different kicks and emotions clearly heard in every line. It’s a broken love story that fills your heart to its core. MAY-A’s passionate voice and lyrics make “Say Nothing” a opening single that everyone can relate to. Whether you have been broken-hearted or are just looking for love, this one is bringing out non-stop emotion.
Flume also released an accompanying music video alongside “Say Nothing” that captures the theme even more. The music video is extremely colorful, fueled by visuals from Jonathan Zawada, which makes “Say Nothing” even stronger of a first single. You won’t want to say goodbye to this tune anytime soon!
