Blanke is back with an unbelievable melodic masterpiece, releasing his “Land Of The Wayfarer” EP via Ophelia Records.
The talented Australian producer has skyrocketed within the last couple of years, supporting national tours with Seven Lions and most recently Sullivan King. He’ll even be gearing up for some additional stops this Spring as part of Adventure Club‘s tour. On the festival circuit, Blanke has played some of the biggest in the country, including EDC Las Vegas, Lost Lands, Bass Canyon and Electric Zoo. With each performance, Blanke reminds you just how versatile he is, combining elements of melodic, trance, drum n bass, dubstep and midtempo. Be on the lookout for this talented artist on more lineups as we dive into festival season.
“Land Of The Wayfarer” EP is the latest project in what has become a goldmine discography for Blanke. Each track is perfectly composed, in which each individual sound has its own space to breath and contribute to the overall masterpiece that is this full EP. Starting off with the intro track, “Echo Chamber”, we are greeted by engaging arps that bring us to the launching point of this EP, catapulting listeners into a melodic universe that shifts back and forth between blissful, trance elements and heavy, dubstep lasers.
The next two tracks are a beautiful showcase of how far Blanke’s sound has come in the melodic dubstep space. “Lifetime” featuring Esther Sparkes and the hit single“Lights Out” featuring RUNN represent a clear evolution in Blanke’s songwriting, giving off a powerful, yet emotional vibe as we continue on this melodic journey. The elegance doesn’t stop there, as we quickly shift BPMs with the next track “Think Of Me” featuring SOUNDR. The piano leading up to the drop is big time ascension energy, truly representing the heartfelt message that Blanke is conveying in this EP.
“Arc” gives listeners a break from the beauty, diving head first into a trance-y, dubstep banger that is sure to wow crowds everywhere this year. It is yet another example of how diverse Blanke’s range is as well as a genuine representation of who has influenced him over the years. We then return to the blissful magnificence with “Only You” featuring Meggie York and “Stuck On You” featuring Donna Tella, closing out this seven-track EP on a deep, lovestruck note.
It is truly incredible to have watched the rise and evolution of Blanke over the years. It seems like just yesterday we were talking about how blown away we were by his flip of Virtual Self‘s “Eon Break”.
