Bassrush brings fans a new edition of their popular biannual compilation “The Prophecy: Volume 6” featuring some of the biggest up-and-coming names in bass, dubstep, trap, drum and bass, and more. The previous iterations of this list include tracks by Khiva, Sam Lamar, Eazybaked, sfam, Shanghai Doom, and loads of other talented bass producers! Artists included in these compilations in the past have gone on to skyrocket into stardom within the electronic world, and we can only hope the same for the newest group of talented musicians.

As one of the most recognizable names in bass music, Bassrush has had a busy year full of hard-hitting releases and a robust event lineup. With stage takeovers at huge Insomniac events such as Project Z, Bassrush, and EDCLV, and hosting the massive Excision and Flux Pavilion tours, they have really been living up to the hype that they create. On the label side of things, they have been supporting such talented artists as Sumthin Sumthin, JEANIE, Shanghai Doom & Xotix, and more. This new compilation is no exception with a whole host of amazing names!

This round-up includes artists from a variety of genres. Holding it down on the wonky bass side of things we have jordnmoody and Deafadil with their song “Come Around“. While the last one of the bunch, it holds the whole package together with its steady roll and consistent lumbering bassline. If you had the pleasure of catching either of these talented producers at The Untz you might have been lucky enough to hear a preview of this track!

The left-field trend continues with OddKidOut, a Philly producer whose track “DISTORTO” fuzes many of his own favorite genres. Here’s what he had to say about his newest creation:

“I wanted to bridge the gap between punk, electronic and boom bap. To me, it represents a lot of my roots from Philly by incorporating that Philly swing and highlighting the grittiness of the east coast. It’s one of my recent favorites, and really feels like a melting pot of all my influences.” – OddKidOut

Filling out the drum and bass portion is Skellytn x Doctor Werewolf with their track “Empty The Clip“, a track that is teeming with energy. They are joined in the DnB arena by Notaker and their contribution “Melting Bismuth” which dials in more on the breakbeat side of the genre. Things get a little wavy with Sydney’s own Heimanu who brings us the trap and wave influences on the track “Slumber“.

Chassi brings the high-octane energy in his track, “Awakening,” which is sure to jolt your senses and keep you locked in. This one is certain to be a headbanger’s anthem. It’s no wonder that the track came together so quickly with all of the energy infused inside:

“I was just experimenting with a lot of new, previous sound design. After nailing down the heavy drops, the motivation was instantly there and the whole tune came together in two days.” -Chassi

This entire collection is filled with crazy good beats and incredibly talented producers — keep an eye out for these names, as they are surely going big places!
