Titan of industry, G Jones, thrills fans once again with the release of his new single “Operator” off of his upcoming EP, ‘Illusory Tracks.’ Listeners will recognize this track as it is a classic cut that he has been incorporating into his sets for the past three years or so. It has been a showcased gem throughout his sold-out IllusoryOS tour this past summer. Jones also is wrapping up a colossal festival season, having graced the stages of Lightning in a Bottle, EDC Las Vegas, Bonnaroo, Bass Canyon, and tons more.

This highly anticipated release comes after Jones’ collab with EPROM, On My Mind, another track familiar to devoted fans who have had the privilege of experiencing one of his recent sets. The two friends and frequent collaborators followed that with a joint EP, that gained tons of traction with the experimental bass world. We love hearing all of these tracks dropped in G Jones’ performances and so does he. Greg acknowledged this sentiment in his own words:

“Operator has been one of my favorite songs to play in my sets over the past few years and I’m so happy it’s finally getting a proper release.” – G Jones

“Operator” begins with oscillating vibrations that echo through the atmosphere as the tension of the track continues to build. Alluring arpeggios draw you in before the breakdown delves into bass-ridden quarter notes and layered bass samples envelop listeners, transporting them to another dimension. The song takes another turn before the conclusion, where glittering melodies tempt before the bass takes over once again and delivers the classic, all-encompassing G Jones bassline.
