Last night, Bay-area native and WAKAAN powerhouse, Shlump, showcased his heavyweight space bass for Waterbury, CT on the tail-end of his one-of-a-kind Alien Trip Tour.
The impressive forty four-show tour run has already touched ground all over North America, including two stops in Canada. Joined by local support and Connecticut-born dubstep phenom, Tsimba, the Alien Trip Tour had bass heads flocking from all over the northeast to pack out the epic two-level venue, fueling Connecticut’s flourishing bass scene.
Equipped with hypnotic laser rigs and booming sub-systems, Shlump laid down a high-energy, psychedelic set for hundreds of passionate headbangers full of unreleased IDs and dubstep classics, like “STARCHILD” from his UNIVERSAL WUB EP alongside LSDREAM. The production mastermind kept his foot on the gas, ripping his newest heaters like “Alien Bass” and our HIHF favorite joint, “Rock Like This” alongside Smoakland.
The sonic synergy between Shlump, Tsimba, and local acts, Constant G and Simple Noises, made for a cohesive, other-worldly experience guided by their abstract bass control and deep vibrational frequencies. The Alien Trip Tour is a pioneering movement in the world of freeform bass with Shlump captaining the control board.
If you haven’t made it out to one of Shlump’s epic sets yet, be sure to check out if he’s coming to your city here.
