August has been ablaze with releases from our favorites…..and prior HIHF Guest Mix contributor Yoko has just added to that evergrowing list of heat with her newest tune titled “Sike!”, now streaming on MorFlo records.

This marks a massive return for Yoko to link up with the creative prodigy Mersiv once again, and his label, MorFlo, which has featured the likes of heavy-hitters such as Smoakland, Steller, Jaenga, and dozens more. 

Based out of Denver, Emi Veliz AKA Yoko has risen to new heights in recent years since the project’s debut in 2019. It’s hard to miss Yoko’s name on the bill of highly anticipated tours such as The Widdler’s recently announced “Zero G” tour or Cool Customer’s “Customer Service” tour. Backed by the experience of major performances with CloZee, A Hundred Drums, Boogie T, and unforgettably, Mersiv’s Red Rocks headline – she’s setting dancefloors alight across the board. And the music is here to back the live performances.

Yoko’s versatility is flexed heavily in this energetic track, proving that her intricate production knows no bounds. “Sike! ” will have you moving to a nostalgic electro-buildup, before surprising listeners with a halftime groovy rhythm of wobbling bass hits, further accelerating in dynamic complexity as the music pulls you in deeper.
