Jantsen and SubDocta are kicking off 2025 hot with the release “I’m On That” arriving today on Ganja White Night‘s SubCarbon Records. Jantsen’s fan-favorite cosmic bass sounds and SubDocta’s infamous “West Coast Wobble” stylings have been highly acclaimed by some of the biggest names in bass music, like Liquid Stranger and GRiZ. The two collaborating artists are set to unleash melodic mayhem once again with this new drop!

Jantsen has been dominating the scene for the past decade, gaining attention from huge record labels such as Disciple, Wakaan, and, of course, Ganja’s SubCarbon. Over the years, he has cultivated a distinct, gnarly sound that has made his tunes favorites for the headbangers. His highly-anticipated release, “ILL Behavior” is a tasty, two-stepper tune that reflects his genre-defying production capabilities. Fans have been asking for that one’s release for years.

Not only does Jantsen produce some of bass music’s wonkiest tracks, but he is also widely regarded as having one of the most diversely composed sets in the bass world. His relished “Gutter Music” mix series is always a treat, fusing a range of genres and showcasing his depth as not only a producer but also a phenomenal DJ.

It only makes sense that Jantsen would team up with the king of the wobble for today’s release. SubDocta became a bass bombshell with his classic track “2009 Was Tight” gaining attention from some of the leading artists in dubstep. Since then, the West Coast legend has cranked out dozens of original bangers, teaming up with artists we love here at HIHF like Dirt Monkey and Evalution to produce some of the wonkiest, swankiest, most energetic tunes in the scene. His sound pays tribute to his West Coast roots, blending swampy bass lines and pumping rhythms, and has been a go-to for Ganja White Night and the SubCarbon crew, playing tours and curated events with them for years.

While the new track opens with a bit of an easygoing feel, it descends into a walloping wall of dubstep firepower. Don’t let that bass line hit you too hard across the face! A bouncy hi-hat and snare weave between low wicked growls, while a dubious dub vocal rides underneath it all. The first drop, laced with intricate rhythms, is characteristic of Jantsen’s mystifying sound. If that wasn’t enough, SubDocta’s energy brings this track to the next level in the latter half, featuring his vigorous sub-bass and ruthless west coast flow. Simply put: this release is a rumbler!

“I’m On That” is a nasty, guttural tune that will get you jumping, moving, and grooving! As these SubDocta and Jantsen gear up to unleash havoc on us with this new release, be on the lookout for their next trip to your local venue.

I’m super stoked to be catching my next Jantsen set in May, where he will go back-to-back with the Daisy Duke Drilla, TVBOO! Let us know where you will be catching Jantsen or SubDocta in 2025 below! We hope to see more collabs from them soon!
