Grant Kwiecinski, better known to the music world as GRiZ, is back at it again with a wicked new album titled Rainbow Brain! GRiZ emerged from Southfield, Michigan as an American DJ, Producer, and Songwriter. He now resides in Denver, Colorado where he continues to bring major funk to the Electronic Music Scene.

Rainbow Brain defies genre lines with a variety of sub-genres including Dubstep, Electronica, Funky Bass, and Glitch Hop. One is taken on a euphoric and electrifying journey through our bodies and minds with Rainbow Brain!

The new album features twenty-two tracks, eight of these tracks are mold-breaking interludes in which GRiZ has used an epic technique to not only transition songs, but also change up the tempo. GRiZ reveals his own genius with this trick, making the journey even more enjoyable!

Not to mention, GRiZ released an imaginative video performance of the whole album titled “Rainbow Brain: The Movie” right before the album drop last night. This wonderland-style movie can be found on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch!

GRiZ opens his new album with the track titled “c h r o m e s t h e s i a,” telling a beautiful story of how we perceive colors with not only our eyes but also with our minds. From here, he moves onto two singles that were released early this year titled “Astro Funk” and “Vibe Check”. These two tracks tap straight into the head-banging dubstep that GRiZ never fails to bring forth.

An interlude titled “t a k e – e m – b a c k” transitions into my favorite track on the album titled “Burn Up The Floor” featuring Jantsen, bringing undeniably hard-hitting bass that will without a doubt get you moving!

Other tracks that were successful single releases for GRiZ were “Tie-Dye Sky” and “Rainbow Brain”. The single “Rainbow Brain” features GRiZ’s frequent multi-talented music partners ProbCause and Chrishira Perrier. The trio brings absolute filth to the dance floor with this new track, as has come to be expected whenever they link up.

GRiZ brought some boundary-pushing talent to this album with the track titled “Gold” featuring past collaborators Cherub, telling a story of letting go to embrace life at its fullest, all while offering head-bopping beats and infectious lyrics certain to make you sing along!

“Daily Routine” is undoubtedly one of his greatest tracks ever, featuring Big Gigantic and ProbCause. This track brings fabulously funky bass and dubstep that will absolutely get you grooving!

Other must-hear favorites on the album include “Other Side Of Jupiter”,  “Infinity”, “Feel It All”, and “Another World”.

The tracks and interludes of Rainbow Brain hold much deeper meaning that is meant to encourage one to dive deep into one’s self. GRiZ has given insight on Twitter about the interlude titled “w u – w e i” with a link to Alan Watts’ notorious teaching of “The Principle Of Not Forcing”, which is called the wu-wei.

Rainbow Brain has captured every attribute of GRiZ’s varying stylings in a perfect way. The album has strategically combined all works of art to curate a heaven-sent listening experience for any and all GRiZ fans!

We can’t wait to see the magic man with Rainbow Brain at his upcoming shows Grizmas in July, Another World, and Space Camp! GRiZ will also be at various festivals including Summer Camp Music Festival, Imagine Festival, and HiJinx Music Festival.
