HIHF favorite Runnit has officially returned. The booming up-and-comer is an artist you absolutely must have on your radar for 2023. The Maryland producer is the head of the Partica Artists record label, which he manages with fellow EDM trap guru Gurf, another HIHF favorite producer.
Massive festival ready-bangers and huge collaborations with the likes of TVBOO, Shanghai Doom, and AHEE have led Runnit to release on massive labels like Wakaan, Subsidia, Bassrush, Cyclops Recordings, and more, but the work he puts out with his Partica collective is equally impressive and head-turning. The industry is definitely starting to take some notice of his production chops. No exaggeration, I saw Liquid Stranger at Moonrise Festival last Summer and he legitimately dropped seven Runnit IDs during his hour-long set.
Today, Runnit is making his return to the airwaves with his new Asterisk EP. Featuring three booming new original tracks, this rising star has a MASSIVE future ahead and the Asterisk EP is a testament to that. Runnit always brings a brilliant blend of experimental bass and that classic EDM trap in his works.
With Asterisk, he adds three new weapons to his artillery of bangers, each of which is unique in its own right and is also sure to leave festivalgoers in complete shambles. The versatile producer shines once again on the Asterisk EP, as bright, or maybe even brighter, than he has on his past creations. Here’s what Runnit had to say about his newest work:
“When you put an asterisk next to someone’s name, it means there is more to their story. There’s often more going on behind the curtain compared to what people in the industry may publicly show you. I put together Asterisk as a statement on how our culture rewards the face instead of the soul.” – Runnit
