Chime is one of the leading names in the quickly growing world of Future Riddim. He coined his own lane of the subgenre, dubbing it “Color Bass,” and his Rushdown Records label has championed some of the hottest Future Riddim releases over the past few years. Today, the UK based Chime is connecting with Los Angeles producer The Living Proof on SLANDER‘s Heaven Sent label for a brand new collaboration, “The Takeover”.

SLANDER is obviously one of the biggest names who meld heavy dubstep with melodic, sing-a-long, festival anthems. Their Heaven Sent label has been an outstanding representation of what the melodic dubstep community has to offer and has hosted releases from huge names like Au5, Hukae, Papa Khan, Skybreak, and tons of other rising star producers. We are ecstatic to see Chime, as well as The Living Proof, released on Heaven Sent!

Their effervescent new single starts off with powerful vocals, leading into a bass-heavy buildup. It then breaks down into melodic madness, giving fans the perfect mix of color bass and modern dubstep. “The Takeover” leaves the listener absolutely floored, with a seamless blend of multiple styles of bass music. This is an insane new banger that is a must-listen for any of our headbanger readers out there!

“It was awesome to work with Harvey (Chime) as he was an artist I really looked up to and had been listening to since 2017. He’s an OG and still leading the charge for melodic music in the bass music scene. We felt that Heaven Sent would be a great fit for the tune because of the strong and uplifting vocal and /melodic parts, while still having a heavier edge to it.” – The Living Proof
